Last Week's Happenings (October 22nd)

This week first graders had a new task in the Design Center: to stack flash cards as high as possible.  First graders learned about Johnny Appleseed, while putting his life events in order. We also discussed characteristics of heroes and how Johnny Appleseed was one.    First graders began learning about maps. Their first task was to make a map of the classroom. They are beginning to listen to  My Father's Dragon  by, Ruth Stiles Gannett.   One of our classmates, Henri, brought in his violin and played a few songs for us.

A Very Busy October!
