First Grade Happenings March 15, 2019 Tamchui donation week has been full of learning and thoughtfulness! Every day the kids were given one chip to donate to the two organizations we learned about: The Leatherback Trust or Klinik Jubilee. On Friday Morning Rabbi Clevenger came into our classroom to talk about the clothing of the Torah. Ask your child what the Mantle is!  First Graders learned about two of our Tamchui organizations this week: The Leatherback Trust and Klinic Jubilee. While learning about the Leatherback trust, first graders worked with their reading buddies to make game boards that explained the challenges that turtles face around the world. They made little turtles out of model magic to use as their game board pieces. Be on the look out for this game board to come home on Monday!
