1st Graders Celebrate Yom Ha'atzmaut

Celebrating Yom Ha'atzmaut!!

May 10, 2019

The first graders had a blast celebrating Yom Ha'atzmaut, Israel's birthday! The first activity of the day was Israeli dancing with Ellen Berkowitz. The kids learned new dances and practiced ones they learned during fitness and health.

The first graders learned about weather and climate. We talked about the changing climate and how this impacts the lives of leatherback turtles. The first graders were presented with the challenge of developing a solution to help with the changing climate. Be sure to ask your first grader the solution they worked on!

Below is a link to pictures from the day! Enjoy!
