A Perfect Spring Day and a Perfect Field Trip

A Perfect Spring Day and a Perfect Field Trip
Glanz/Packer 5th Grade

We could not have asked for better weather on Wednesday as we set out for our field trip. With all that our students have learned this year about ancient civilizations, they were well prepared to see the museum's exhibits of Mesopotamia, Egypt, and Greece. Students LOVED the freedom to choose their lunches and eat outside at Quincy Market. Finally, we walked to the Holocaust Memorial where a granddaughter of survivors, Shoshana Edelson, asked the students to share their thoughts about the memorial and the symbolism of its design. She also shared stories about her family's experience during the Holocaust.

Enjoy some of the pictures of this educational and truly enjoyable day.
