Zoo New England
Today we enjoyed a visit with some very special friends from Zoo New England. These included a Madagascar hissing cockroach named Mr. Pickles, a leopard gecko named Miriam, and a Ferret named Socks. The children were enthralled, enchanted, and yes, at times a bit edgy. We learned all sorts of new information about the different physical adaptations these animals have evolved to use for survival in their habitats. Ask your kids if they remember any of them! I'm sure between gasps of delight (and sometimes a bit of horror) they were able to at least hear SOME of the facts.
(As an FYI, they exhibited very kind and respectful behavior towards the animals and their caregivers.)
Enjoy the photos!
