What's New in Grade Two: Rosh Hashannah, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot
Noah and Daphne are our bloggers this week. Here are some of their favorite parts of the past two weeks:
Rosh Hashannah and Tashlich:
Noah: Something new I learned about Yom Kippur and Rosh Hashannah was that we blow the shofar for Rosh Hashannah and for Tashlich. I have been practicing blowing the shofar since Kindergarten.
Daphne: I liked participating in Tashlich and thinking about something I want to throw away from last year.
Tzedekah Math:
Daphne: I really liked learning about Tzedekah math on Fridays. During Tzedekah math, we make predictions about how much money we will donate each week.
Multiple Intelligences:
Noah: We have also been learning about different ways that we are smart. I learned I am music smart, art smart, logic smart, and self art. Music smart means you can play an instrument and you know how to sing. Art smart means you are creative.
Favorite Books:
Daphne: My favorite book that we read this week was Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse.
Noah: My favorite book that we have been reading in class is Zoo School. We read it during snack. I enjoyed getting my Anything Book, where I can draw pictures and be creative.
These are our luluv and etrogs that we made in class. Next week we will have a real class luluv and etrog. We will also have a chance to go out to the sukkah at school and have snack.
