A Kinder - Garden Blooms: Having Faith, Perseverance & Believing in Yourself

A Kinder - Garden Blooms!
Having Faith, Perseverance and Believing in Yourself

by Stephanie Rotsky

The Kindergarten students recently read two stories. One about a little boy who plants a carrot seed. Another about a young girl who plants a garden in a new city. Both children's seeds do not grow right away. The little boy's big brother and parents tell him:

The little boy does all the right things to care for his carrot seeds. He digs a good hole in the dirt. He plants many seeds. He waters them everyday. They get plenty of sunshine.
The young girl does the same.

Every day, the little boy tends to the weeds in his garden and waits...

And every day, through every season that year, the young girl waits...

                                And then...

One day children from all over the city come to see her and give her special paper flowers they have created for her garden...

In the end...the little boy grows such a huge carrot that he needs a wheelbarrow to carry it. And the young girl's garden grows as well creating a colorful splash in the city made up of paper and real flowers...

Just as both of these children knew it would!
