Design Day!

As part of our fifth grade curriculum studying the rivers of Ancient Mesopotamia and Egypt, students were challenged today to build levees to hold back the water of a flooding river. Earlier in the week, Stephanie Rotsky taught a fantastic lesson about Hurricane Katrina and connected flooding in ancient times to current natural disasters and issues of social justice.
