What's New in Grade Two: 12/3-12/7
This week's blogger is Mila!
Writing: In Writer's Workshop, I am writing a story about my sisters. I am finishing my final draft and illustrating my story.
Science: I am researching the bat for my Animal Research Project. I am on my final draft. I learned that the bat is the only mammal that can fly.
Math: In math, we learned about line graphs this week. They show changes in data over time. We also practiced what we learned about probability by playing dreidel.
Jewish Studies: In Jewish Studies, we are learning about Havdallah. I learned that the word "Havdallah" means separation. Havdallah is the ceremony that separates Shabbat from the rest of the week.
Reading: In my book group I am reading Pee-Wee's Tale. It's about a guinea pig who was sent to a park and the guinea pig befriended a squirrel named Lexie. Some of the book group jobs I had this week were Bridge Builder, Mind Reader, and Character Charter.
Favorite Part of the Week: Playing dreidel!
