Spotlight on stage - Kindergarten

The Kindergarten has been in the theater practicing for their play, “Stone Soup”. Which will be presented next Thursday morning, January 24th at 8:15am.  This play introduces the students to dramatic skills such as using facial expressions when they speak, using their bodies to move like animals, and trying to find their “Big” voices when they speak.  They had a chance to “audition” for the parts which meant listening to music for each animal and then trying to move like that animal. Theater also teaches them to follow the directions of when to move, when to speak and how to work as a team.  It takes time to learn these skills and the grade plays build on these skills from year to year.  The students will be sharing all these new skills as well as a Hebrew song during the performance.  We look forward to seeing you in the audience.
