Compassion for Animals: Making a Difference in Puerto Rico

As a way of thanking the students in our class for donating Tzedakah to help rescue dogs in Puerto Rico, All Sato Rescue (where I volunteer) decided to name newly rescued dogs after the kids in our class. This is an initiative I started last year in 5th grade to teach my class about the stray dog crisis on the island. A litter of puppies was rescued recently, and just this week, they flew to a shelter in Maine. To see more photos of the dogs leaving the airport in San Juan, check out All Sato Rescue's Facebook and Instagram pages where they shared information about this partnership with Rashi students donating tzedakah. I was excited to see that Rashi also shared the post online. I will keep you posted for the next litter of puppies to be named after our students.

Shabbat Shalom,
Aaron
