Week of February 11, 2019
Ask your child:
Who were the special visitors this week and what did they bring? (We had a program called, "Eyes on Owls" and they brought real owls for us to see and learn about.)
"Hoo" was your favorite owl?
Who was the Important Person this week and what activity did they do? (Maya S. and we made some really cool sensory bottles with her mom and sister).
Ms. Berks did a special experiment with water in a bucket. What was the experiment and why did she do it? Did you get wet? (She showed them how centrifugal force works which relates to how the earth spins so fast we don't feel it spinning and we don't fall off).
What is going to happen at school in three more days? (The 100th Day of School!)
What is the "Melt an Ice Cube" game and why did we play it? (To see what would melt ice the fastest)
Is the earth made up of more land or water?

Maya's mom, Samantha, and sister Margaux, came in to read a story and we made really cool sensory bottles!
"Eyes On Owls" program
We got up close and personal with them!
Spinning the water in the bucket. Did anyone get wet?
We found animal tracks in the snow!
We can finally play in the snow!
How can we melt an ice cube?
Reuben and Danny are using our beach ball globe to see if the earth is made up of more land or water. When they caught the ball, they looked at where their thumbs landed and kept track using tally marks.
