What's New in Grade Two: 3/25-4/5

This week's bloggers are Noah and Daphne! We held our Family Program on Tuesday. Our bloggers are very excited to share all about it, in addition to our science unit on soil.

Noah:
We started learning about each of the fourteen morning blessings. We analyzed each blessing and interpreted them on our own. We also read books and did activities for each one. After we created our blessing books, we wrote a class blessing together. The class blessing made me excited to write my own blessing with my family. On the day of the Family Program, we sang several songs, including Henei Ma Tov and Lechi Lach, and we chanted all of the blessings. Then, we wrote our family blessings. I wrote mine with my mom. The next day, we painted frames for our blessings using water colors. I really enjoyed this Family Program, and I'm excited to share my completed blessing and frame with my family!

Daphne:
In science, we have been learning about soil. In one experiment, we looked at soil in a jar. We added water to the jar. It was a mixture of dirt, mud, and water. Then, we let our soil samples sit for a few days. A few days later, the jar had layers of soil and water, and a final layer of soil at the bottom. It was really interesting to observe the soil and to see what happened.
