First Grade-Abraham: Week of September 5, 2017...Our first week of school!

Children reflected on their first day of school! The "end-of-the-day" was filled with grins!

Inspired by the book, My Map Book, by Sara Fanelli, each student made a "map "of his/her heart! Students included family, friends, Rashi, pets, and favorite foods on their heart maps.

We began to examine the Rashi Core Values by taking a close look at Limud, Learning! Three first graders created a "statue" expressing ways that they learn at school.

"How can you choose (toov lev) kindness?" is an essential question that dons our classroom wall. First graders jumped right in to help a classmate with a newly broken arm by signing his cast, making cards, and helping him maneuver around the school.
