H-O-P-E

We are looking forward to seeing you this Thursday for Back to School Night (6:30-8:00)!

- Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Liptz

Please enjoy today's highlights:

- For morning work we practiced and showed numeracy with a variety of activities. Over the next week we will rotate through the following morning work centers:

1. building unifix cube towers that correspond with printed numbers
2. sorting shapes using a template
3. cutting out numbers to create a number line
4. matching the number of dots on dominos to printed numerals

- We start every morning meeting with a greeting.  Today the children said "Good morning" with a handshake.  The weather helper, calendar helper, days of school counter and schedule reader do their jobs and today we played playing a fun movement matching game.

- Stephanie (our Social Justice coordinator) taught us about hope by reading the book, The Carrot Seed. The little boy in the story has hope that the seed will grow despite being told that his efforts would not work. We are looking forward to our weekly lessons about peace, kindness and social justice.

- Ms. Brauer joined taught us how to form lowercase f. Together we practiced writing the letters b, t and f and identifying their sounds.

- Choice Time!
