Shana Tova, Shana Mitukah A Good Year, A Sweet Year
Shabbat Shalom!
- Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Liptz -
- We practiced reciting the poem, We Woke Up In the Morning, with the corresponding actions. Some friends volunteered to identify words in the poem by sounding them out, using their memory or with picture clues.
- Addi brought in a shofar to share with her classmates! She blew it for us when we announced, tekiyah. If your child would like to blow the shofar during our announcements or share it in class before Rosh Hashanah we would be delighted!
- We learned a new Rosh Hashanah song about two delicious treats, apples and honey!
- Mrs. Miller showed the class different styles of Rosh Hashanah cards and the wishes inside. We discussed our own wishes for our families and worked thoughtfully at the tables to express our vision through illustration and words.
- This afternoon our Kindergarteners met their 3rd grade reading buddies. We can't wait to read with them throughout the year.
We gave Tzedakah for the first time and Mrs Liptz led us afterwards in a warm and peaceful version of Hinei Ma Tov. What a beautiful way to bring closure to this mitzvah.
Shabbat Shalom!
