Exploring the Deep Blue Sea with our Featured Important Person, Addi

There are a couple of links in this blog post.  We hope you'll click on both of them and enjoy the pictures in each of these albums!

During the year, each child gets a chance to be the featured Important Person of the week.  This week, Addi's family got us off to a great start.  She showed us a board of pictures that helped us to learn about her family and her interests.  When her family came for a visit, they brought a variety of ocean animals, which the children learned about by listening and touching.  Click this link to see more pictures!  https://photos.app.goo.gl/BZM21nvAuBc4sJZt2

Connected to the parshat of Noach, we've continued to study of rainbows, how light travels and how to make models of arks float.  We've read numerous versions of the story and the Kindergartners learn to differentiate between the words of Torah and imaginative ways in which people retell or show the stories.

Please click to see photos of our students exploring these concepts in small groups at learning centers.

Math Centers this week focused on numeracy.  Students matched used quantity cards to put numbers in order and to match equivalent quantities.
