Second Graders Are Learning About
LIVING & NON-LIVING THINGS
Using the laboratory that our own back yard provides, we did close observations of specific areas of ground to record everything we saw. Back in the classroom we divided all of our findings into the categories living, once-living & non-living.

FINISHING OUR STUDY OF THE BRAIN
Dr. Norden is a neurologist, and Sam's dad! Who better to help us wrap up our unit on the brain? He showed us MRIs of real brains, and explained how the major nerves in the brain work. He did an excellent job, as did his assistant.
