Week of October 30th

We celebrated Ari's birthday on Monday! He shared his passion for rocks and gems.

First graders used a Venn diagram to compare and contrast flat maps and globes.

Math centers varied between pennies and nickels, clocks and guess my number games.

We focused on the never changing shape of Massachusetts and other states, while reading Puzzle Map USA by Nancy L. Clouse.

During Writer's Workshop students are continuing their learning of new patterns and incorporating their learning into their writing.

While learning about Parsha Vayera, children discussed different ways they welcome guests into their homes, and made colorful welcome signs.
