5th Grade News- Anne Glanz and Sharon Packer
The Science Fair won't take place until March, but having formed testable questions last week, our students started to do background research about topics related to their proposed experiment. After narrowing down topics that were essential for them to know in order to form a hypothesis, students read and took notes about ideas such as acids and bases, how paper is made, what eggshells are made of, the components of glue and shaving cream, and the definitions of elasticity and melting point.
We also had another opportunity to have Kabbalat Shabbat with residents at NewBridge today. The kids spent some time talking with residents, a few read their compositions about an inanimate object, and then we sang some songs together with them. We know that the residents love seeing your children.
