Weeks of November 20th to December 4th
Check out some pictures from the past 3 weeks' activities!
We learned about the story of Chanukah and created mini books.
During our morning meeting children found their partners by matching animals to their shelters.
We created the map of My Father's Dragon.
We learned about the author Giles LaRoche's and studied his technique of collaging. We then created a collage of the Rashi School based on his work.
First graders are illustrating their paper Siddurs during Tefillah.
We studied four regions of Israel (The Galil, the Negev, Tel Aviv, and Jerusalem), during our studies of maps and we recreated these regions through illustration.

Our new Social Studies unit is shelters for people and animals. We learned all the steps in building a house and created a class book. Children are inspired by shelters and are building them in the classroom during choice time.
