Week of January 29th

5th graders shared their recently published stories with our class this week.

Rabbi Smith and Stephen led us through our Tu B'shvat seder. We got to taste many fruits from the seven species mentioned in the Torah.

Yitro was this week's Torah Portion. We learned about the 10 Commandments and worked with partners to illustrate each commandment.

In Science this week, we began our study of the five senses. We went on a scavenger hunt around the school to put our senses to the test. Come check out our Five Senses bulletin board!

Students learned many interesting facts about the history of shoes. Children enjoyed using a Venn diagram to compare and contrast each other's shoes.

Our Newbridge Volunteer, Judy, shared with us the book Visions of Torah By Michael Bogdanow. Michael is a Newbridge resident and friend of Judy's. He is a writer and illustrator of Torah Portions.

Students each made their own "almond blossom branch" in honor of Tu B'shvat.

Each student created their own Eleventh Commandment- Come see our published book entitled, The Eleventh Commandament!
