Tamchui in the Words of Fourth Graders

All the organizations help us learn more about their cause, and problems in the world.

FASI helps people by researching possible solutions and causes for food allergies. Some of the fourth graders watched a documentary on Netflix about food allergies that helped us understand how people have to live their everyday lives with food allergies. FASI has the top scientists in the world trying to fix this problem.  There are fourth graders who have food allergies, so there is a strong personal connection to this.  In fact, our own Ben G. nominated FASI to be a Tamchui organization.

Music and Memory helped us learn that music can affect our brains positively.  It also helped us learn that there are other ways of fixing brain problems, other than drugs.  Music and Memory helps people remember more things in their lives.  This organization works with people who might have severe memory loss.  One of the fourth grade parents nominated Music and Memory.

Leket Israel also taught us that there are lots of hungry people in the world, and we shouldn't take things (like food) for granted.  We shouldn't waste food and water.  There are other people in the world who are hungry, and there are organizations that help them.  This organization is for Israel, but they've shared their model with other countries.  This organization is great because it focuses on Israel, which is important as well.

We can't take for granted that others don't have as much as we do.

We're very glad that Rashi does Tamchui because it makes us aware of problems all over the world, and motivates us to help others now and in the future.
